  1. Hi, I found a link to your blog in the comments section of an article I was reading about Crystal Renn, and I’m glad I did! This is really interesting. Looking forward to reading more.

    • Hi, Clare. Thanks so much for checking out the blog and for the feedback. Another post is coming on Wednesday! I’m so happy you like it so far.

  2. I never understood why Monroe’s weight ever mattered. Monroe is held up as a paragon of attractiveness, too bad I can find many people who don’t find her attractive. People are always looking for the supreme model. The one they all can model themselves after. If they can’t fit the exception they force the object of their obsessions to fit them. The Monroe subject is old, instead of using her as some kind of benchmark people should just accept they will look different. I am in not way bashing you for writing this blog post. I’m just giving my honest opinion on the Monroe issue.

    • You make a good point, Ann: “… they force the object of their obsessions to fit them.” I think it’s easy to do that; if you can find similarities (or perhaps imagine them a bit) in a seemingly worshipped celebrity, it makes you feel good. Ideally, we’d all just accept ourselves without comparisons. Thank you for the comment.

  3. I found this article very enlightening. I used to be a size 18, but healthily lost weight and am now a size 12. People always told me that Marilyn Monroe was a size 14, and it always made me feel good, since she was a beautiful woman. It’s nice knowing that when I reach my healthy body weight I’ll be the same size as a beautiful woman 🙂

  4. Marilyn Monroe was NOT a size 14. Sizing is different now than it was then. In today’s sizing chart… Marilyn would be a size 6.

  5. Need to show this article to all the obese women who argue that Marilyn Monroe is a size 14 and nobody says anything yet they are size 14 or 18 and ppl call them fat. Nice to know skinny standard has not changed much

  6. It’s remarkable to pay a visit this site and reading the views of all mates concerning this article, while I am also eager of getting familiarity.
